A Statement for the Imperial Crown
BURGENLAND AND ALL OF EBSOTZ PROCLAIM THE IMPERIAL CROWN
EMPEROR NICHOLAS I of KREMS
EMPEROR NICHOLAS I of KREMS
God, the Virgin Mary and our Mother of Mt. Carmel, hail an Emperor, long at the stairs of the Ebsotzian throne. The glory of God and our people present our plea for imperial power to the College of Cardinal's, in which Ebsotz is a full-fledging member, Cardinal Bartholomew representing our people with grace and peace, through our Mother and of God.
EXPLANATION OF THE HOUSE OF BURGENLAND, TO WHOM EMPEROR NICHOLAS BELONGS
Our holy and royal seal of the Ebsotzian Empire derives from the Seal of Burgenland, an automonous in Upper Austria with a significant population of ethnic Germanic-Slavs, however, like most of Ebsotz, has a massive German majority.
The yellow stands for when Judgement Day comes, the glory of God will be brighter than the sun herself. The black rock (ancient philosophers think this is obsidian), stands for that God is our rock, and our Mother of Mt. Carmel and Jesus Christ are seated at his right hand (not shown). The red eagle is a traditional symbol of power and gracefulness for the Austrians, or rather, most of the European continent. The crosses on the wing's tip stand for, quite literally, that the Crucifixion of Christ our Lord is above all else. And lastly, the crown is the Imperial crown of Ebsotz.

The Imperial Statehood of Ebsotz's massive empire has been declared here. We pray, from blessing of the Pope, that he, the Papacy, the College of Cardinals, and God Himself will recognize Ebsotz's imperial statehood. The Lamb of God will oversee our flourishing empire expand, through his word and his word alone, we may thrive through imperial statehood.
Behold, the Lamb of God!

Re: A Statement for the Imperial Crown
Cardinal Bakocz
The Cardinal has heard rumours of the declaration of the Empire of Ebsotz and didn't know what to think first. He quickly sent a letter to Varazdin, to King Zvonimir, and hurried to the meeting of the Cardinals that would discuss the matter.

Pope Basil I
The "Statement for the Imperial Crown" is now open for discussion for the College of Cardinals for 7 days. Every cardinal is requested to voice their opinion on this matter, and to submit their vote in the following format after their arguments.
Statement for the Imperial Crown: for/against/abstain
A question comes to my mind. There is only one other in all of Europe who calls himself and Emperor, and his loyalties lie with the schismatics. If we grant Nicholas of Krems an imperial crown, what manner should it take and indeed what style should it take? The Greek Emperor styles himself as the Roman one, yet Rome lies not with the Greek church but with the Roman one. What thinks the College on this matter?

One not just porclaim themselves Emperor without consulting the Pope and the College first. It is clearly the duty and responsibility of the Pope to crown the Emperors, to distinguish those who are worthy from those who are not.
If his Holiness the Pope shall decide to crown an Emperor, it must send a message to the Greeks. The Emperor needs to be strong and of strong faith, with enough strength not only to keep order in his own lands, but to make the enemies of God and his Church tremble as well.
Does Duke Nicholas have these?

Re: A Statement for the Imperial Crown
His Holiness,
Are these Greeks heretics? Are they defying the church's supreme authority? I know the Greeks are quite close to my realm, and I will take full responsibility to protect my homeland, just I have been doing for the 7 years.
I have made this statement to catch the attention of my fellow Cardinals and most certainly the Pope. The northern and western realms (Cordoba, Blayk, Saexenland) have my word.
All the enemies of the Church, God, and Ebsotz's Realm shall fall.
You have my word Pope Basil I; I, Duke Nicholas of Krems on the Danube, swear, on our Lady of Mount Carmel, our God, His People, His Word, and the Holy Spirit that I will protect my citizens and will condemn and help defeat all enemies of the Church and God. Amen.

Edmond Saint-Pierre
You claim that your King shall defend the Catholic realms, yet our greatest enemy, The Greco-Roman Empire has a navy strong enough to block the ports of every Catholic Realm in the Mediterranean, thus blocking off the trade routes from the French Realms to Rome, they also control the route to the East and to the rich lands of Spice. So I ask you how do you expect your King to defend not only his Realm but all Realms following our God without a single sea-worthy ship to speak of?

I shall take full responsibility to do so, by land, of course.
