Brief history

After the death of king Alfonso the V of Leon the gavelkind succession system took affect the county of Castille and the kingdom of Leon. s]Separated into two independent realms the oldest Bermudo became king of Leon and his brother Ferdinand I. Was declared count of Castile not wanting to feel and look inferior to his brother. He declared himself the king of castile and Leon and the two still dispute the kingdom title to this day
