The Palace of the Sultan

In the Middle East, a land fiercely contested and seperated by people of all different ethnicities and religions, lies the Arab nation of Bahammad. Founded by the current Sultan, Fayiz Abd Al-Rahman El-Aziz, the newly-created Sultanate has achieved much in such a short amount of time. Within the large exotic city of Baghdad lies the Palace of the Sultan of Bahammad. From this palace, the Sultan watches over his nation and his people, doing all he can to make Bahammad the sole power in the Middle East.

War Room, Sultan's Palace, Baghdad

The door opened as Sultan Fayiz walked into the room. Well lit and well kept, the War Room became an integral part of Bahammad's military history. The strategical and tactical planning of all conflicts began in this room, discussed and debated by the military minds of the Sultanate. Right in the middle of the room was a large wooden table with intricate designs carved around its edges. The top of the table was crowded by maps, inkhorns and quill pens, among other cartographic materials and objects. Around the table stood Prince Fathi - Heir of Bahammad - and Mamun Al-Mansur Hajjar.

Both of the men bowed when they saw the Sultan come in. All three of them had been working on a plan for their next territorial expansion, and it was about to be finalised. Sultan Fayiz was the first to speak:

"As-salāmu ʿalaykum. Shall we finalise the plan?"

Prince Fathi and Mamun simultaneously responded with waʿalaykumu as-salām, and Mamun would answer the Sultan's question.

"Almost, my Sultan. All it needs is your approval, but I will go over it once more. In order to gain control of the Bay of Kuwait and access to the Persian Gulf, the local rulers of Kuwait must be forced to hand over their lands to you. We can propose to them a kind offer; They can join the Sultanate of Bahammad and govern their lands as long as they accept you as their supreme ruler and pledge their loyalty to the El-Aziz Dynasty. If they refuse to accept our offer, then we conquer them. If they accept, we stay true to our word.

Now, most families will decline. They haven't been very supportive of Bahammad at all, hence why we have border conflicts with them. So, if we are to defeat them, we need a simple plan that allows us to crush them within a matter of days. We must not allow this conflict to drag on.

You and Amir Fathi will lead your troops straight down south to the Bay of Kuwait. You must defeat all who stand between you and the Persian Gulf. Once you reach the Bay of Kuwait, you must conquer the rest of the coastline of the three provinces that we had discussed previously. Meanwhile, the Majeed Family will move their forces south-west, and the Rifai family will move their forces to the south-east.

The bulk of the lords around the Bay of Kuwait will focus their armies on you, as you propose the biggest threat to them. Knowing your military prowess, you should have no problem with beating them back. The Majeed and Rifai Families will most likely defeat any resistance they encounter, and they should be rather quick in completing their objectives. This conquest will not take long, should everything go to plan."

A grin appeared across the Sultan's face, an he spoke yet again.

"Very well. This should be an easy campaign. The plan has my approval. Begin preparations immediately..."
