Se Sǣxenn Cranc Miht

Post by Sǣxenland on Tue Mar 15, 2016 12:34 am

The greatest scholars of Sǣxenland, from Hæglscīre in the north, to Witanceastre in the centre, all the way to Sudsor in the vary south have decided to record the traditions of the heathen people. Under the direction of the High Godsman of Witanceastre the name of every native god of Europe and their attributes shall be recorded in poetic language.

Growing persecution by the incessant Christians throughout the land necessitates the construction of this chronicle, so that in the future though the Heathenry of Sǣxenland may be strong, the world can remember the gods of times past.

We begin with an Alliterative Poem in Praise of Þunor;
Sing softly o' smiths in your smitheries;
Begin the blaze with your bellows;
Forge in the fires your falchions;

Saviour of Sǣxenland;
Bring forth your benign reign;
